Does PME support devices which require Modbus "Authentication" before data can be read from holding registers?
Issue
A customer cannot communicate to a 3rd party Modbus device created through the Modbus Device Importer which requires writing to a coil or register before values can be read.

Cause
Power Monitoring Expert default Modbus driver does not provide the ability for complex Modbus requests that require writing to a register before reading other Modbus registers.
Resolution
Devices which require writes to a specific register or group of registers before other register values can be read are not supported through the default Modbus Device Driver. A custom device driver would need to be created which can utilizes dll files to perform the writes on an automated basis. Contact your Schneider representative for costs to have the custom device driver built.
