Product

Current Transformers

Environment
Power Monitoring Instrumentation

Cause
Accuracy class is used to classify how accurate current transformers can measure current without error. There are 3 accuracy classes for Schneider Electric current transformers: class 0.5, class 1, and class 3.

Resolution
The accuracy class rating of the CT is based on the Max Power (VA) for the CTs
If the meter (VA) + the cable (VA) is less that Class 0.5 Max VA of the CT, the CT is class 0.5.
