How do you set up the ATV320 for auto manual control?
Resolution:
This configuration allows the ATV320 to operate in Hand-Off-Auto (HOA) mode using a three-position selector switch. In Hand (Manual) mode, the drive uses a local command and speed reference. In Auto mode, the drive uses an alternate command source and speed reference, such as network communications or external signals.
Follow the next steps to configure the drive:
Navigate to:
CONF → FULL → CTL
1. Configure the Manual Speed Reference
Set Fr1 to the speed reference source used in Hand (Manual) mode.
Available options:
- AI1: 0 to 10 V analog input
- AI2: -10 to +10 V analog input
- AI3: 0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA analog input
- AIUI: Embedded virtual potentiometer
- LCC: Remote keypad reference
- MDB: Modbus communication
- CAN: CANopen communication
- NET: Communication card (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, etc.)
2. Enable Separate Command Channels
Set CHCF = SEP (Separate Control).
Press and hold Enter for 2 seconds to apply this change.
3. Select the HOA Switching Input
Set CCS = LIx, where LIx is the digital input used to switch between Hand and Auto modes.
4. Configure the Manual Command Source
Set CD1 to the command source used in Hand (Manual) mode.
Available options:
- TER: Drive digital inputs
- LCC: Remote keypad
- MDB: Modbus communication
- CAN: CANopen communication
- NET: Communication card
5. Configure the Automatic Command Source
Set CD2 to the command source used in Auto mode.
Use the same options listed for CD1.
6. Assign the HOA Mode Selector Input
Set RFC = LIx, where LIx is the digital input assigned to switch between Hand and Auto operation.
7. Configure the Automatic Speed Reference
Set Fr2 to the speed reference source used in Auto mode.
The available options are the same as those listed for Fr1.
