Lowering Charging rate on XW and Charge controller system
Issue:
How can I lower the DC Current on my devices?
Product Line:
Conext XW/SW inverter chargers, MPPT Charge Controllers
Environment:
Trying to regulate the charging rate on my batteries in my system.
Cause:
Batteries require a specific charging rate. Breakers trip due to under sizing.
Resolution:
Using your SCP or Combox, go to the unit you want to regulate charging rate from. Enter on 'Advanced Settings' then 'Charger Settings', there you will find 'Max Chg Rate' and lower to your preference.
Note: Percentage is based on maximum unit output (i.e. MPPT 60 max output is 60 ADC so 50% Charge rate would give 30A output). Look at the Owner's Manual for Electrical Specifications on your unit.
