Intermittent Communications to EM4800 in PME
Issue
The EM4800's communications are intermittent, despite the device consistently responding to network pings.

Cause
Network latency on the EM4800’s network segment is higher than expected. The default PME receive‑timeout value (10,000 ms) may be insufficient, causing intermittent communication drops.
Resolution
Increase the receive timeout for the EM4800 device:
- Open Management Console.
- Navigate to Devices and locate the EM4800.
- Right‑click the device and select Properties.
- In the Properties window, right‑click the white space and select Advanced Properties.
- Change Receive Timeout from 10,000 ms to 20,000 ms.
- Save and close.
Recommendation
