Why does my ATV6XX / ATV9XX drive require a power cycle after pressing Stop on the keypad?
Resolution:
When a drive is configured for start/stop control from the terminal strip (2‑wire or 3‑wire control), pressing the Stop button on the keypad is treated as an emergency stop. As a result, the drive will not run again until power is removed and reapplied.
This behavior occurs because the drive expects both run and stop commands to come from the same control source. If the run command is issued from the terminal strip but a stop command is received from the local keypad, the drive interprets this as a stop command from an unexpected source. For safety, it responds by performing an emergency stop.
