Newer trip units have the date code located on the front of the trip units. See below examples (date code is 15313 for trip unit on left, 16044 for trip unit on right).
Both older and newer trip units have the date code located on the back of the trip units. See below examples (date code is 15313 for trip unit on left, 16044 for trip unit on right).
Date codes are formatted YYWWD (Y = year; W = week; D = day where day 1 is Monday). For example, 15313 is Wednesday of the 31st week of 2015.
