How do I configure the RY relay on an ATV212 drive to activate when a speed threshold is reached?

Resolution:

You can configure the RY relay on the ATV212 drive to activate when the motor speed (output frequency) reaches a defined threshold.

Follow these steps:

  1. Set the relay function

    • Go to: I/O Menu → RY Relay Function (F130)
    • Ensure F130 = 4 (Freq. 1 reached / Speed reached)
    • This is the factory default setting in most cases.
  2. Define the speed (frequency) threshold

    • Set parameter: F100 (Freq. 1 reached)
    • Enter the desired frequency value (in Hz) at which the relay should activate
  3. (Optional) Configure delay

    • Use F146 (RY delay) if you want to delay relay activation after the threshold is reached

Result:
The RY relay energizes when the drive output frequency is equal to or greater than the value set in F100, and de-energizes when it drops below that value.
