Issue:
Needs to know the difference between the standard LC1D and those with forms "S207" and "S961"
Product Line:
Contactors and Starters
Environment:
Tesys D Contactors
Resolution:
The pre-Tesys "S961" and the current TeSys "S207" contactors are specially designed to meet the IEC standards for the European rail systems. Standard contactors CANNOT be used for this type of application.
One of the many features of these contactors is that they incorporate ring tongue terminals. If someone in the USA has one of these contactors, a standard contactor with ring tongue terminals might be able to be used unless it is related to some sort of railroad application. Substitution using a standard contactor must be done with caution.
Attached are some of the supporting documents associated with the current S207 contactor line offered by Tele.
