Oracle’s support for JRE 8 ended in January 2019.
Solution:
APC released PowerChute Business Edition v10.x, PowerChute Serial Shutdown and PowerChute Network Shutdown v4.4.x and 5.x that ship with OpenJDK. This is the way Oracle recommends using Java in the future without having to pay a license fee.
PowerChute Business Edition version 10.0.5 ships with AdoptOpenJDK 17
PowerChute Serial Shutdown version 1.0 ships with AdoptOpenJDK 17
PowerChute Network Shutdown version 5.0 ships with AdoptOpenJDK 11
The software products will also include an easy way to keep OpenJDK up to date, which will be fully documented as part of these new software versions.
