How to use two IO modules in one IMU.

Issue:
How to use two IO modules in one IMU. How is it wired?  Can the unused outputs be programmed with EcoStruxure Power Commission software?

Product Line: Circuit Breakers
Environment: Breaker Digital Systems

Resolution:
The second IO module can be plugged into the unused ULP port on the IFE, or on the IFM's by putting it anywhere in the ULP wiring.

An IO module has three digital outputs (bi-stable relay). The digital outputs assigned to a predefined application are pre-configured and cannot be modified. The other available outputs can be configured separately using the Ecoreach software.

In document 0613IB1317 July 2017 chapter 2 IO Module Predefined Applications, shows which output contacts are predefined and which ones are available.  Example:
Application 1: cradle management:  O1, O2, O3  are available.
Application 3: cradle management and ERMS:  O1 and O2 are available.  O3 is pre-defined as ERMS engaged.

REMEMBER:  When two IO modules are connected in the same ULP network used in one IMU, the two IO modules are differentiated by the position of the DIP switch located on the bottom of the IO module.  The consistency of the configuration of both IO modules is checked. If the DIP switch of both IO modules is in the same position, an IO module in ERROR mode alarm is generated.
