See the following ION8650 series meter default communication settings:
COM1 Setup:

| Unit ID | From Serial Number* |

| Serial Port | 8N1 |
* The factory set Unit ID is based on the serial number of the meter. For example: Serial number: XXX-1009X263-XX is factory set to unit ID 9263
