What is the recommendation for installing arc chute covers on the Compact NS breaker?
In general, whenever the arc chamber has some connection oriented towards the front, then adding an arc chute screen is required to comply with safety clearances.
If the power connections (busbars, vertical connection adapters, cable lug adapters) are front oriented, then adding an arc chute screen is required.
If bare cables are used with the 4 cable-connector available in the catalog, then arc chute deflectors are provided and must be installed as described in instruction sheet 51201027AA delivered with the connectors.
