How do I program an ATV12 drive to be controlled by the VW3A1106 or VW3A1107 remote keypad?

Issue
A customer wants to control an ATV12 series drive using a VW3A1106 or VW3A1107 remote keypad.

Resolution

Follow these steps to configure the drive for keypad control:

  1. From the RDY display, press ENT.
  2. Use the Down Arrow to navigate to COnF, then press ENT.
  3. Select FULL, then press ENT.
  4. Navigate to CtL, then press ENT.
  5. Navigate to Fr1, then press ENT.
  6. Select LCC, then press ENT.
  7. Press ESC repeatedly until the display returns to RDY.

The drive is now configured for Start, Stop, and Speed Control from the remote keypad.

Starting and Stopping the Motor

  • Press Run to start the motor.
  • Press Stop to stop the motor.

Adjusting the Speed Reference

  1. From the default display (RDY when stopped or the output frequency when running), press ENT to access rEF.
  2. Press ENT again to display the current frequency setpoint.
  3. Use the Up Arrow or Down Arrow to increase or decrease the speed reference.
  4. Press ENT to save the new value, if required.
