What is the difference between SoMove and MachineExpert and the OMT?

Issue:
What are the different programs for as pertains to TeSys Island

Product Line:
Tesys Island

Environment:
Digital multifunctional load management solution

Resolution:
  • SoMove is an FDT container which can load the TeSys island DTM. This DTM is mandatory to configure the Avatars and initial settings for the island, and to push this configuration to the Bus Coupler. The DTM is also used for Firmware Update via ethernet connection (as opposed to via SD card)
  • MachineExpert is primarily the PLC programming tool for Schneider Electric PLCs. It is also an FDT container and can perform the functions of SoMove
  • The Operation and Maintenance Tool OMT is the internal web-server of the TeSys island Bus Coupler. It can monitor data, adjust settings, and perform some operations like resetting trips, forced mode, and test mode. It cannot configure new Avatars.
