Clock update input locally rejected" - Micrologic Trip Unit event in PME

Issue
A user is seeing multiple events titled "Clock update input locally rejected" from their Micrologic Trip Unit devices come into PME.

Product Line
Power Monitoring Expert 9.x
Power Monitoring Expert 8.x

Environment
Web Applications - Alarms/Events

Cause
The "Clock update input locally rejected" is a string that the device's driver returns when the Micrologic trip unit rejects clock update commands.

Resolution
As long as the Micrologic trip unit is showing the correct time, this event is a nuisance alarm and can be ignored. If desired, the event can be suppressed by completing the following procedure:
  1. Navigate to the event_schema.xml file located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\config\translators\events.
  2. Open the event_schema.xml file with Notepad, and change the line reading <attribute type="Enabled"/> to <attribute type="Disabled"/>.
  3. Once this change is made, save the .xml file and there will be no future events triggered from the clock update input rejection.
