What is the difference between the Model 98 temperature controller and the Model 98A ?

Issue:
What wiring differences are there between the 98 Controller and 98A?

Product:
Powercast MV Transformers

Environment:
Installation

Cause:
Product Features

Resolution:
The Model 98 & Model 98A are physically interchangeable. However, the power connections to the monitors are different. The power is connected to the Model 98 at TB3 pins 3 & 4 (see CONNNECTING TO THE POWER SOURCE beginning on page 8 of the attached Model 98 Instruction Bulletin).

The power is connected to the Model 98A at TB1 pins 13 & 14 and to the fan relays at TB2 pins 3 & 4 (see CONNECTING TO THE POWER SOURCE beginning on page 8 of the attached Model 98A Instruction Bulletin).

When replacing a Model 98 with a Model 98A, connect jumpers from TB2 pins 3 & 4 to TB1 pins 13 & 14 to supply power to the Model 98A.
