Issue:
How is calculated the Processor load value in the BMXNOC0401 communication module?

Product Line:
M340
BMXNOC0401

Environment:
Web page

Resolution:
Processor load value is a ratio between “CPU non-Idle tasks Time” and “Total CPU time”( if idle is 30% then CPU utilization is 100-30=70%).
The CPU is a multi-task system, the execution order of the different type of tasks depend on their priorities .
In the case of the BMXNOC0401, the following tasks have an impact on its load :
  • Server and client traffic packets per second as each packet is inspected and a transaction occurs
  • Size of I/O scanner image: bigger the scanner load, the longer it takes to copy from the xbus
  • PLC CPU scan time, as we have to transfer the I/O scanner twice a scan cycle.
  • General network traffic like multicast and broadcast traffic as it must be inspected
