EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert : What is the difference between Basic and Professional Licenses?

Goals and Symptoms
Current versions of EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert provide two types of Build Time licenses: Basic License and Professional License.
The software user manual does not provide enough information regarding these licenses.
The goal of this resolution is to provide the more details about Basic License and Professional License
Causes and Fixes
Attached, please find a selection table to help you to choose the right license based on which HW is being used and which features are needed
In resume:
  • Basic is only to configure applications for STO7/ST6/STM6/STM6BOX
  • To use web server API in STO7 with ETH port and to use Web Server API or/and OPC UA in ST6, STM6 and STM6BOX,  Basic License is not enough. For these cases, a Professional license is needed even that we are at Basic HW level
  • All EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert supported Advanced HMI and iPC applications need to be configured with a Professional license.
