Issue:
Nema form B and B2
Product Line:
Full Voltage Contactors, Starters, and Overload Relays
Environment:
Factory Modifications (Forms)
Resolution:
The Form B is for an ambient compensated bi-metallic overload relay (with a red adjustment knob) vs. a B2 for a non-compensated overload ( with a white knob) . The ambient compensated type is used where the controller is located in an area with a widely varying temperature and the motor is in an area (like a submersible pump well) that is constant.
