Low voltage general purpose EE or EXN Ventilated Transformers are in a Nema 2 `dripproof` enclosure; when energized the units will generate sufficient heat so as to not allow condensation.
The described location will also allow water at angles other than vertical (dripping), and thus the addition of an optional weathershield kit is necessary to achieve a Nema3R rating for outdoor applications.
