How does an on-delay timing relay operate?

Issue:
Describe the On-Delay timing function

Product Line:
9050, RE17 On-Delay Timers

Environment:
Relays and Timers

Resolution:
When the coil of the on-delay timing relay is energized, the timed contacts do not immediately energize (change state); instead, they wait until the timing period has elapsed, and then they energize. When the coil of the timing relay is deenergized, the timed contacts immediately revert to the normal state.
