In a 3 phase, QO load center, is a backfed main breaker with the PK3MB retaining kit restricted to a certain position?

Yes. It is only intended for use in the upper left side of the interior. This will be in breaker spaces 1, 3 and 5. There is NOT a retaining kit for mounting a 3 phase, backfed main breaker on the upper right side of the panel or in any other location.
