Do any of Square D Transformers contain any PCBs?

Issue:
PCB's (Polychlorinated Biphenyl) possibly used in the construction of Transformer products

Product Line:
LV Transformers, Medium Voltage Transformers

Environment:
Applies to all Low Voltage Transformers and Medium Voltage Transformers by SquareD by Schneider Electric

Cause:
Concern for Environmental impact and needing information about use of PCB (Polychlorinated Biphenyl) in the construction of Transformers.

Resolution:
Dry Type Transformers are exempted since they do not use liquid coolants of any kind. On Medium Voltage Liquid Cooled Transformers, Square D/Schneider Electric has never used PCB type coolants in our Transformers or any Transformers manufactured for us.

NOTE on MV (Medium Voltage transformers) Square D by Schneider Electric has no control over what fluids that may have been added by end users into Medium Voltage Transformers after they have been shipped and installed.  It is recommended to test the MV Transformer in the field for traces of PCBs in the oil/coolant.
