How Do I Transfer Function Block Programming When Migrating from an ATV32 to an ATV320 Using SoMove?
Resolution:
When converting an ATV32 configuration to an ATV320 in SoMove, the Function Block Programming (FBP) is not automatically transferred with the configuration file. The function blocks must be exported from the ATV32 project and then imported into the ATV320 project.
To transfer Function Block Programming:
- Open the ATV32 project (.psx) in SoMove.
- Navigate to Device > ATV Logic > Import/Export.
- Export and save the Function Block Program file.
- Convert the ATV32 configuration to an ATV320 configuration.
- In the ATV320 project, go to Device > ATV Logic > Import/Export.
- Import the previously saved Function Block Program file.
- Open the Function Blocks menu under the Parameters tab.
- Locate FbCd (Function Block Command) and set it to START.
- Under the Communication section, verify that all communication settings match the drive being replaced.
- Cycle power to the drive to apply the changes.
Note: Configuration conversion and Function Block Programming transfer are separate processes. Always verify the imported logic and communication settings before commissioning the replacement drive.
