Masterpact MTZ: Components needed to locally operate breaker via smartphone app

Issue: Local operation via phone app capability was not ordered from the factory.  Need to field modify.
Product Line: Circuit Breakers
Environment: Masterpact MTZ

Resolution: to field modify, the following components are required. Some of these parts may already be installed.

  • Mobile App – EcoStruxure Power Device
  • Masterpact Operation Assistant Digital Module LV850005
  • XF-Com, MX-Com coils, part numbers vary based on voltage.
  • Spring Charging Motor, part numbers vary based on voltage.
  • Isolation Module LV850056SP

Isolation module

  • Isolation Module to coils communication cables MTZ1: LV833118SP, MTZ2/MTZ3: LV847904SP

  • MX-Com cable needs to be plugged into the MX1 location on Isolation module, not MX2.

  • Coils properly wired, C3 and A3 continuously powered. C2 and A2 are only needed for push button operation.
