How can I detect that I have lost communication to an extension rack on a M580 remote drop?

Resolution

You can detect the health of the extension rack by looking at the Device DDT for the CRA. You will find the IO_HEALTH_RACK_1. Each bit of the word corresponds to the slots in the rack. If you lose communication to the whole rack the value will be zero.
