How do I reset SoMachine software ?

There may be the possibility in which you want to reset SoMachine Software back to factory defaults.
Perhaps there is a large list of recent projects you want to clear.
Or perhaps the screen layout has been changed and your want to return the layout back to factory defaults.
It is possible to reset SoMachine back to the original settings as if the software had just been installed and is being opened for the first time.

Step 1. Navigate to the folder C:\ProgramData\SoMachine Software
Step 2. Find the Version folder for your version of SoMachine. In this example V4.3. Open the version folder.
Step 3. In the version folder there will be four files that are dated and times stamped with the date and time from the last time you opened SoMachine.  The files are, Favorites.xml, SoMachine Software ProjectDefaults.opt, SoMachine Software User.opt, and SoMachine Software.opt.
Delete these four files.
Step 4. Navigate to the folder C:\Users\ "your login name"\AppData\Roaming\SoMachine Software
Step 5. Look for the version folder that matches your version of SoMachine and open this folder.
Step 6. There are two files in this folder where the date and timestamp match the last time you launched SoMachine.  The two files will be SoMachine Software (Common).xml and SoMachine Software.opt.
Delete these two files.
Step 7. Close all folders.

The next time you open SoMachine the software will open as it did when it was first installed.
There will be no recent projects and the screen layout will be returned to factory defaults.
