Ecostruxure Process Expert[2021]: How to Set OPCUA Protocol for NUA module in Supervision Project
This document explains on How to set OPCUA Protocol for NUA module in Supervision Project.
By default, when User creates an IO Device in Supervision project, OFSOPC protocol will be selected by the system. If User wants to communicate IO Device on OPCUA Protocol then he needs to configure the settings as mentioned below.
1. Open Board Properties in Communications settings of Services in Supervision Project as shown below.
There will be two options for User which are OFSOPC & OPCUA. Set the Protocol as OPCUA and close as shown below.
2. Open IO Device's assigned Tag Container Properties of Supervision Project a shown below.
There will be 3 options available for User which are OFSOPC, OPCUA & OPCUA EMBEDDED. If User is using NUA module, then he needs to select OPCUA Embedded in Protocol as shown below.
After Performing these settings, User can able to select the NUA module in Communication Mapping or else NUA module will not be visible for communication mapping. After that, complete the Communication mapping and then Perform Generate & Build. This completes the procedure for configuring OPCUA Protocol with NUA module in Supervision project.
