How to change M580 model in project.

Issue

Will be replacing an existing M580 with a newer one that is a different model. How can the model of the existing program be changed?

Resolution

If from the Project Browser you double click on the PLC bus it will open a graphical window. At the top of that window you will see the M580 model number above the backplane. To the right of the model number is a pulldown where you can select your new model and firmware revision. See graphic below indicating the pulldown button.
