Power SCADA Operation: IO Server is crashing for the IEC870IP (IEC104) Device
Issue
After starting runtime server, IO Server process is crashing which is configured with IEC104 protocol device.
Environment
Power SCADA Operation (PSO) 2020
EcoStruxure Power Operation (EPO) 2021
Cause
Blank cell in IOA configuration file (IECIOA.dbf) for a configured IOA of type ‘DDO’.
Resolution
Make sure to configure IECIOA.dbf file properly (in case of any doubt refer driver help) and make sure that for the output tags/points cell values of all columns in the config file is mandatory and must be configured. For other than output tags, column’s TYPE, QUALIF, SELEX cell values are optional and can be left blank.
