HDSS = heavy duty safety switches
SCCR = short circuit current rating
All the 30 A, 240 Vac max, HDSS accept Class H or K fuses as standard. Options include Class R fuses (field install Class R Fuse Kit). With Class H or K fuses installed, the switches are UL/CSA listed for use on systems with up to 10,000 RMS Symmetrical Amperes available fault current. With Class R fuses (and Class R Fuse Kit installed), the switches are UL/CSA listed for use on systems with up to 200,000 RMS Symmetrical Amperes available fault current.
NOTES:
1) DO NOT USE RENEWABLE LINK FUSES IN SQUARE D SAFETY SWITCHES. The use of renewable link fuses may adversely affect user safety, impair reliability, and will void the warranty.
