What's the plastic terminal coating on the transformers?

Can the terminal coating on transformers be removed?

Low voltage dry type transformers

Answer:

The terminals on our Ventilated Transformer have an anti oxidation paste or compound on the terminals. That can be removed from the exact rectangular area that the customer installed lug will contact the terminal, if the customer wishes.
