Cannot open Control Expert after installing and it returns an Srcsdk.dll related error.

The reasons why Control Expert  cannot be opened and returns an Srcsdk.dll related error is due to some of the ISS Setup Prerequisites sub components not getting successfully installed.

The ucmerr.log file found in folder named 'C:\ProgramData\Schneider Electric\Control Expert 15.3' could show an error similar to :
ucm

The sub components are located in the folder named '...:\ISSetupPrerequisites'.

The issue can be resolved by performing the following steps:

  • Run a registry cleaner
  • Reboot.
  • Open\mount the Control Expert installation iso file.
  • Reinstall all of the sub components found in the folder named '....:\ISSetupPrerequisites'.
  • Reboot.
  • Retest.
