Cause:
Wiring HEPD unit into a circuit breaker.


Resolution:
Braiding wires together (as shown on the figure attached) reduces the resistance (impedance) of the current from the actual panel to the surge protector. Performance of the surge device is best if there is least amount of resistance (impedance) between the SPD and the connection of the panel.
