Does the yellow leakage (yellow liquid/oil) on MPZ transformer has bad effects?

Issue:

Does the yellow leakage (yellow liquid/oil) on MPZ transformer has bad effects?

Product Line:

MPZ transformers

Answer:

Some small number of Sealed Resin Epoxy Encapsulated Transformers have on occasion leaked small amounts of uncured epoxy resin product when heated up to operating temperature, because of trapped bubbles of uncured epoxy component resident in the enclosure. This has no effect on the operation or longevity of the Transformer, and should not be of undue concern for the customer. As long as the Transformer has normal Primary and Secondary voltages and currents when in operation, the uncured epoxy resin components that may seep out can be cleaned up with standard, non paint solvent type cleaning products. The liquid bubbles of epoxy resin product should eventually dry out with time and heat, and the seeping will stop.
