Is there an approach/formula recommended by Schneider Electric to calculating the X/R ratio for LV transformers?

Issue:

Formula to calculate the X/R ratio for a Schneider Electric Low Voltage Transformer.

Product Line:

LV Transformers.

Environment:

EX, EXN, 9070 CPT.

Cause:

Customer wants to know if there is an alternate approach to calculating the X/R ratio for LV transformers aside using the datasheets.

Resolution:

No. Customer can find this value defined for most transformer on the Typical Performance Data Sheet, please request this file to Schneider Tech Support if you do not have a hard copy of it. The data on Typical Performance Data sheets is the result of factory Transformer design and testing procedures that yield more accurate results than rule of thumb formulas that use various Transformer characteristics such as kVA, Coil loss, etc. Such external formulas are useful for approximations when Data Sheets and design information is not available, but when factory Data sheets are available, they are the best source for such technical information.
