Is it possible to field install a Voltage Presence Indicating System (VPIS) in my existing RM6 GIS switchgear?

Issue:

Customer planning to install VPIS on their installed RM6 on-site.

Product Line:

MV Gas Insulated Switchgear.

Environment:

RM6.

Resolution:

It is a very complex activity to install VPIS on-site from scratch, which involves proper wire harnessing and testing for verification and validation. This is not a job which a customer can do on their own on-site. VPIS supplied on RM6 cubicles are factory fitted as per the specifications on ordering. Please reach out to Schneider Electric Field Services for this activity. Schneider Electric only recommends customer to replace an existing VPIS on-site. See attached adaptation instructions which are surely not for doing on-site installation without experience.
