Harmony XB5S Biometric switch "Connected device" error

Issue:

"Connected device programmed by another software" error in XB5SSoft

XB5S Biometric Switches

Resolution:

The "The connected device is used and programmed by another software" error appears because you can only modify/update the XB5S database with the computer that was originally used to set up the device.

If you want to program the device with a different computer, you will have to save a copy of the database and do a factory reset.

If required, please contact product support with the serial number of the XB5S (6 digits) so we can provide the complete factory reset procedure.
