Can a customer simply match the SFP markings on the 490NAC0100 and 490NAC0201 models and then purchase them direct from the manufacturer?

Answer

No. The 490NAC0100 (RJ45) and 490NAC0201 (single mode fiber) part numbers include specific firmware which guarantee full functionality with the M580 Hot Standby family of controllers.

Generic SFPs will not guarantee full functionality even if they share the same markings as the 490NAC0100 and 490NAC0201 models that are provided by Schneider Electric.
