Error 1720 gets returned when trying to install a new version of Control Expert on top of an older version.

The following error gets returned when trying to install a newer version of Control Expert on top of an older version.

Error 1720. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Custom action UP_TopologyManager_Service_Check script error -2146828275, Microsoft VBScript runtime error: Type mismatch: 'Session.Property' Line 25, Column 2,

To resolve the issue,

• Open the folder named 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric'
• Delete the folder for the old version of Control Expert.
• If the folder cannot be deleted, resolve the trusted access rights issue and retry.
• If the folder still cannot be deleted, open the Control Expert folder and delete the contents.
• Reboot the PC.
• Mount the installation  iso file for the older Control Expert version.
• Run setup as an administrator.
• Select Repair.
• Reboot the PC.
• Mount the installation iso file for the older Control Expert version.
• Run setup as an administrator.
• Select Remove.
• Reboot.
• Install the newer version of Control Expert.
