What is the difference between the TM241CE40U and the TM241CE40T?

Issue:

Can you tell what is the primary difference between the TM241CE40U and the TM241CE40T?

Product Line:

M241

Environment:

All serial numbers

Resolution:

The difference between the TM241CE40U and the TM241CE40T is the sourcing/sinking logic used by their discrete transistor outputs.

TM241CE40T (PNP/Source): This is the most common configuration in North America and Europe. The PLC "pushes" +24VDC out to the device.

TM241CE40U (NPN/Sink): This configuration is more common in Asian markets. The PLC "pulls" the output down to 0V/Ground.

Please see the comparison link below for a breakdown of the key difference.
