MCS (Modicon Communication Server) | OCMC Displays "Could not read Configuration" Error When Accessing Settings
Description
When opening the Settings page in the Modicon Communication Server, the following message may appear:
“Could not read Configuration. Please restart the 'ModiconCommunicationServer Configuration Server' and 'Modicon Communication Server UI Service' from Services.”

Cause
This issue can occur when Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration (IE ESC) prevents the console from loading the configuration interface properly.
Resolution

Open Server Manager on the affected machine.

Navigate to Local Server and locate IE Enhanced Security Configuration.

Set IE ESC to Off for administrators and users.

Restart the computer.
After the restart, the OCMC Settings page should open normally.
