Resolution:

Updating the ATV930 firmware does not impact the M580 DDTs or DFBs, since these are PLC-side objects

DDTs reference communication mappings, not internal drive memory.

The DDTs in the M580 are built around:

Defined communication objects (control word, status word, references, feedbacks)
Fixed Modbus/TCP or Ethernet/IP register mappings provided by Schneider

They are not tied to the drive’s internal firmware memory layout. Even if the firmware changes internally, the external communication map remains stable.
