Solution
RTD Data Error means there is a hardware fault on the RTD board or it has not been mounted properly. Hardware fault can be permanent or intermittent.
Intermittent faults are recoverable faults and these type of faults are managed better in firmware version 12.B which contains improvement (improved RTD driver) in RTD board monitoring. If the RTD board can recover from an intermittent hardware defect and continue to work normally, RTD Data Error will be cleared automatically (the record in events will still be kept).
Please follow below steps to reset the alarm
- Do a power cycle and see whether the alarm resets.
- If alarm persists, next step is to upgrade the firmware to 12.C (latest) and see whether the alarm resets.
- If still alarm persists, return the device to the SE factory for repair, there is genuine hardware failure to be corrected.
