Starting with ClearSCADA 2017, location services are supported by ClearSCADA clients (ViewX, WebX, CS Mobile).
The end user may want to disable such services in Windows but, if not done properly, ViewX will still show a message like the following every time it starts:
A common mistake is to go to Windows 10 Settings > Privacy > Location and just set the "Location service" switch to "Off" and still leaving the "Location for this device "on":
The right procedure would be clicking the "Change" button and setting the "Location for this device " to off:
This setting will prevent the popu message to show up when ViewX starts.
