Resolution:
Yes, it is possible to password protect the DFB.Open the Project Browser and the Derived FB Types folder. Then right click on the DFB you wish to protect and select "Properties". Next, select
"Protection" and chose from the available options(Read only, no read & write and no modification of version info). Provide a password and confirm when prompted.

Note: Use the same process to remove the password in order to edit the DFB function block.
