Reason:
Drive needs to be able to suspend a load in a hoisting application without the use of a mechanical brake. The drive must hold the load suspended continuously without slippage.
Resolution:
The ATV71 series drive can provide up to 150% of rated motor torque at zero speed. Please note that an incremental encoder must be used and the drive must be in FVC (Flux Vector Control) Mode.
