In a BMXSPS4022 redundant power supply situation, what is the current draw on the “standby” power supply?
Issue
Do the M580 Redundant power supplies share the load?
Product line
Modicon M580, Modicon X80
BMXCPS3522, BMXCPS4022
Resolution
The Primary supply supports 100% (or close to 100%) of the load and the Standby 0%.
As far as sizing goes, the nominal draw of both power supplies must be accounted for. In a 24VDC setting, it will be 1.9 A + 1.9 A or 3.8 A
