An NQ Panel Surge Protective Device (SPD) produces a high-pitched noise, SBA SSPxxSBAxxD.

Issue:
An SBA SPD has an alarm or noise that is in an  NQ Panel.

Product Line:
New NQ Panels with SBA SPD  ((only) Year 2021 or later) NQ SBA SPD models only.

Environment:
SBA NQ Panel with SPD.  Part # SSPxxSBAxxD  (xx Voltage and Surge Current Rating)

Cause:
New SBA SPD design includes a noise that is present while in use, a normal operation.

Resolution:
This normal operation and characteristics of the newly redesigned Surgeloc SBA SPDs. The unit does not need to be replaced. Please see the attached document for further information. The noise would still be present if we replaced the SBA SPD unit.
